On set in WindsorBy admin on July 18, 2011 — Leave a comment
Majority of promising indie film to be shot in town.
Director Jason Buxton says Windsor’s “small-town, North American feel” makes it an ideal location for filming the bulk of his first feature-length movie.
“It’s the small town on the water. Originally, the film was written with the town of Bridgewater in mind and Windsor, from a financial prospective, being a commutable distance to Halifax, has the right look, the right energy,” said Buxton, taking a short break during his second day of shooting in Windsor, May 6.
“Also, in the film, the lead character is lower class and the girl, his love interest, is more… middle to middle-upper class, so looking for a town that has some class distinctions was obviously an important aspect.”
